Measured on your connection. You are paid for what your connection actually carries: we measure the traffic between your device and us, and add the same traffic on its way to the site with a small allowance for packet headers. A gigabyte off your plan is, near enough, a gigabyte paid.

Your connection only carries requests from UnblockingAPI’s customers. Nobody buys access to your IP or connects to your device, and we act on abuse when we find it.
The things worth asking.
Is Meerkly a proxy network?
Not one you can buy access to. Meerkly is the network behind UnblockingAPI: your device loads public web pages for its customers’ requests. We do not sell raw proxy access, and nobody gets to route whatever they like through your connection.
Can customers directly access my IP?
No. Customers send requests to UnblockingAPI, never to you, and your device opens no ports. It only ever dials out to our gateway, so there is nothing for anyone to connect to. The websites a request visits see your IP address, as they would for any page you load yourself.
What kind of websites can Meerkly access?
Publicly accessible websites, over ordinary HTTPS and HTTP. The gateway checks each destination before a request reaches your device and blocks email outright. Your device refuses anything that is not on the public internet, so your router and home network are out of reach.
How do you prevent abuse?
Access is controlled at every step. Only UnblockingAPI’s customers send requests, and never to your device directly. Every request is logged with the account behind it, the destination and the decision taken. We monitor usage and block abusive activity and accounts when we detect them.
No system can classify every possible web address in advance, and we will not pretend ours does. What we can promise is that traffic is accountable, watched, and acted on.
What is UnblockingAPI?
UnblockingAPI is a service businesses use to load public web pages (prices, search results, listings) as they appear from an ordinary connection. Meerkly is its supply side: the devices that carry those requests, and the people who are paid for them.
How much can I earn?
$0.10 per GB your connection carries, but how many gigabytes depends on demand. Meerkly is early, with more devices ready than requests to go round, so a new device may earn very little at first, possibly close to nothing. What earnings depend on.
Why am I not receiving many requests?
Most likely because demand is lower than the network’s capacity right now, not because anything is wrong. Work is only sent when a customer request matches your connection and location. If your dashboard says the device is online and ready, it is doing exactly what it should: waiting for a match.
Does leaving Meerkly running guarantee earnings?
No. You are paid for requests your connection actually carries, not for time online. Staying online is what makes your device eligible; demand decides how often it is picked.
Can Meerkly see what I browse?
No. The software shares a slice of your connection; it has no access to your files or anything you type, and it never reports on your own browsing.
It does describe the machine it is running on: the operating system, the processor, the hostname and the SDK version, plus the network and city it connects from — that is how a device gets a name in your dashboard and how traffic is routed out somewhere near you. What is recorded is what the device is, never what you do with it.
Will it slow down my internet?
It uses spare capacity, and you can stop it at any moment. It holds one connection out to the gateway and opens no inbound ports, so it does not change how your own traffic is routed.
I am on a capped mobile plan — what happens?
Meerkly does not currently watch your data allowance for you. There is no built-in monthly cap and no Wi-Fi-only mode yet, so shared traffic counts against your plan like any other traffic. On a capped plan, run it on Wi-Fi, or leave yourself room and stop it when you get close.

Can I run it on more than one device?
Yes, and most people should. One account, one publisher id, as many devices as you like — a phone, a laptop, a machine in a cupboard. Each one is listed separately in the dashboard so you can name them and see what each is earning, and it all settles into one balance.
How and when do I get paid?
You are paid for what your connection carried: the traffic on the tunnel between your device and our gateway, measured by us as it moves, plus the same traffic on its way to the site with a 4% allowance for packet headers, at $0.10 per GB. Nothing is reported by your device. Earnings settle into an immutable ledger that freezes the rate they were priced at, so a rate change never moves money you have already earned. Once your balance passes $5.00 you can request a payout, and the payout page shows exactly which hours it paid for and at which rates.
Can I earn by inviting friends?
Yes. For every GB a friend you invited shares, Meerkly pays you a bonus of $0.10, and for every GB someone they invited shares, $0.05. It runs for as long as their devices do. The bonus is paid by Meerkly on top of what your friend earns; it is never taken out of their $0.10 per GB, and nobody pays anything to join. Your link is on the Referrals page of your dashboard.
Bonuses from a new friend are held for 14 days before they count. Inviting yourself does not work: bonuses that look like self-referral (the same network, device or sign-up IP address) are held for review and may be voided.
What is a publisher id?
The string that says which account earns the bandwidth shared through a device — pub_ followed by 24 characters. It is a public identifier, not a secret: it ships inside apps and is handed out as a QR code, and it grants access to nothing. Committing one to a repository is not a credential leak.
Can I stop?
At any time, from the app or by uninstalling it. There is no contract, no card on file and no notice period. Earnings you have already settled stay yours.
